Bekah + Tony

Dreading writing about this day because I don’t want to come to terms with the fact that it’s over. I’ve been looking forward to Bekah and Tony’s wedding (+ the prospect of getting to spend a full day hanging out with them) for so long to just let it go. Simply put, Bekah and Tony are the best of the best. I’ve heard multiple people refer to them as “the best people they’ve ever met”, and I’d have to agree. They’re genuine, supportive, deeply kind, and love each other in a way that inspires others to do the same.

Scenes from a Colorful Woodsy Wonderland

Bekah and Tony’s vision for their wedding day had me hooked from the start. Dreams of a relaxed cozy atmosphere with an epic dance party reception in warm fall air. Aesthetically they were drawn to earthy jewel tones, rich textures, eclectic vintage decor, and lots and lots of rugs. Throughout our chats leading up to the day I imagined with excitement how it would all come together, and everything was just as beautiful as I had guessed! From the mis-matched tweed, velvet, and tones of the wedding party outfits to the dessert table filled with homemade wonders, the details were impeccable. Especially the gorgeous florals from Walter Knoll Florist!

A Dreamy Sunsoaked Ceremony

One of my favorite memories of the day were the moments of anticipation leading up to the ceremony. Every time Tony looks at Bekah, it’s like it’s the first time. You can just feel how much he cherishes her. Looking down the aisle past all the guest settling into their seats, it was fun to watch Tony’s excitement grow as the moment neared to finally see each other for the first time. The joy on both of their faces as her mom walked Bekah down the aisle was palpable. From above, the sun seamed to shine on them with equal joy and the most beautiful warm light. Down below, their dog Lloyd looked up at his parents with a wide smile.

A Golden Lakeside Hour

When it came time to sneak away for newlywed pics, for these two nature lovers we wanted to take full advantage of all the scenic outdoorsy flavors Lost Hill Lake has to offer – and we made the most of our time! We covered a lot of ground (and rugs, a must! lol) in a short time. Walnut Grove, to a sunset drenched field, and even a short loop around the lake in a canoe (which in turn produced some of my favorite wedding shots of the year!)

The Reception

Bekah + Tony’s warm outdoor reception under Lost Hill Lake’s pavilion was a continuation of the maximum sweetness and carefree bliss present in their ceremony. Guests gathered at tables adorned with vintage plates, colorful florals and eclectic bud vases. The sweets table was filled with a collection of homemade desserts and enjoyed at guests’ leisure while flowing between the dance floor, cornhole, the bar and mingling with friends.

Sentimental First Dances

After sharing their own dance to “You Are the Sunshine of My Life”, Bekah and Tony chose to honor their close relationships with their mother’s with a combined moms dance. I know I wasn’t the only one welling up at the sweet gesture, and it turned out to be the perfect inspiration for all to open up the dance floor! They had a strong dance showing all night long from all ages, thanks to their own energy on the floor and their stellar DJ friend Pretty Dope Mike.

Passing the Fireball

At every large family gathering for the past 21 years, Bekah’s family has taken part in their Fireball circle tradition and their wedding wouldn’t have been complete without sneaking away to share one together!
