KIRINNE + ERIC // rainswept Kalaloch Beach pacific northwest elopement

I’m struggling to find the words to describe just how special this rain-swept beach elopement was. This, my friends, is what you call a bucket list elopement.

We arrived late in darkness at the historic Lake Quinault Lodge, deep in the Pacific Northwest, to find a wind storm had knocked out internet access (in an area already without cell service). Now completely off-the-grid, Kirinne and Eric were gifted the ability to be fully present in their intimate wedding adventure and absorb:

✨the serene and quiet stillness of Lake Quinault Lodge (there is truly magic in those halls)

✨watching their family squeeze into a tiny pavilion by the ocean to avoid the unrelenting wind and rain but as a result, creating an even more intimate and unforgettable experience

✨hearing cheers through the phone as their loved ones joined the ceremony via Zoom

✨fighting the wind to stay upright and feeling more soaked to the bone than we have ever been in the race to capture it all in photos (and knowing it was completely worth it)

✨and last, but not least, how the weather was absolutely perfect and SUNNY the next day 🤣
